Syria opens tender for 1.2 GW pumped hydro project on Euphrates

Syria's Ministry of Energy has issued a request for expressions of interest (EOI) for the Halabiya-Zalabiya Dam project on the Euphrates River, which includes the construction of an 81-MW hydropower plant and a pumped-storage hydropower (PSH) facility of up to 1,200 MW.
